Community Preparedness and Response Training (CPR-T) held in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality
A 3-day Community Preparedness and Response training has been conducted in Ward No. 4, Malu Village of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality, Dolkaha during 2-4 March 2022. Ward Chair Mr. Hom Bahadur Shrestha formally inaugurated the training program.
The training package was comprised of Orientation on Disaster Risk Management, Damage Assessment Training (DAT), Community Search and Rescue (CSAR) training, Basic Emergency Medical Response (BEMR) training and Simulation.
The training package was conducted under “Mero Surakshi Gaun” program, which is supported by USAID/BHA and implemented by NSET in 7 Rural Municipalities including Tamakoshi Rural Municipality. similar trainings are planned in series, to be conducted in all other wards of Tamakoshi Rural municipalities which will develop community volunteers in every ward of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality.
Total 22 participants got trained where most participants were from Model Disaster Resilient Community, a community-engaged effort of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality & NSET under USAID/BHA’s program. The trained community volunteers are to support local communities in the time of disaster emergencies.
Upon completion, Ward Chair Mr. Shrestha formally concluded the program handing Certificates to the trainees.
