Housing Reconstruction accomplished in Bigu area of Dolakha

Bigu Rural Municipality from Dolakha district marks accomplishment of Post-Earthquake Housing Reconstruction within the area. Mr. Yudhisthir Khadka, Chairperson of Bigu Rural Municipality, in an event organized at Singati in Bigu on September 17, 2021 extended satisfaction to this achievement ending the painful journey left by the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake.

Bigu is close to the epicenter of largest aftershock of 2015 Gorkha Earthquake that had tremored on May 12, 2015 causing massive destruction in Dolakha district and around. Scenario is now changed, the earthquake impacted families are now inside their own rebuilt houses that are expected to withstand future tremors. People’s lives are gradually restored and seem gearing up.
