National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) seeks applications for the following position from eligible candidates:
1. Position: Urban Planner
No. of Positions: One
Appointment Type: Full Time for one year with possibility of extension
Required Qualification: MSc.in Urban Planning/Development /Management
Experience: Minimum 2-year experience in similar field (preferably proficient in the use of urban development tools)
Location: Kathmandu
Main Responsibilities:
» Assist municipalities/ rural municipalities in development of Risk Sensitive Land Use Plans (RSLUP) and appropriate Building Bye Laws.
» Conduct research related to various aspects of urban planning.
» Develop training curricula and training strategies related to RSLUP and urban planning, impart training course as necessary.
» Support on urban planning and land pooling activities to the program team.
» Carry out multi-hazard risk assessment.
» Assist in proposal writing and research.
» Prepare architectural (2D and 3D) drawings.
» Perform other duties as assigned.
