Risk Agreement Workshop for Khokana held
With risk-informed planning being at the forefront of the process, discussion among different stakeholders in the city was held to agree amongst the envisioned future scenarios. It was conducted during 17-18 Feb 2023 through a series of games among disaggregated groups, who eventually came together to agree on a common vision.

Unintended consequences (positive and negative consequences) of Disaster Risk Reduction Policies in Land Value and Carbon Emission in the community was identified through detailed discussion and exercise conducted among disaggregated groups (Policy Makers and Community People) in the Khokana Community.
Unveiling of Model building guidelines and detailing booklet
The model building guidelines and detailing booklets for new residential buildings at Khokana was unveiled at the hands of the Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC), Ms. Manjali Shakya, Ward Chief of Khokana, Mr. Rabindra Maharjan, Co-Director of Tomorrow’s Cities, Prof. Mark Pelling and Deputy Executive Director of NSET-Nepal, Dr. Ramesh Guragain. The guideline and booklet for buildings to be built on 4, 5 and 6 aana plots was prepared by LMC ward 21 - Khokana with technical assistance from NSET-Nepal and funding support from UKRI/GCRF funded Tomorrow’s Cities program.

The ongoing building process of detailed 3d physical model of Khokana ward 21 was showcased in the event. The Deputy Mayor, members of the Khokana community, the ward chair and the WDMC members took keen interest in the model and commented on the usefulness of such physical models for future planning and discussion on hazards and their effects.
