To produce video tutorials demonstrating the skills of MFR course

National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET), is implementing Program for Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER) initiated by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) for enhancing and strengthening emergency response capabilities, mainly in the disaster prone countries. Through PEER, NSET has been conducting training courses like Medical First Responder (MFR), Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR), Community Action for Disaster Response (CADRE), Hospital Preparedness for Emergencies (HOPE) and Swift Water Rescue (SWR) courses in the four South Asian countries, namely, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan. MFR Course imparts appropriate pre-hospital care during emergencies. MFR Course is a skills-based course, therefore procedures should be precisely followed. The planned skills video material shall also serve as a reference material for the MFR graduates and instructors. In this regard, NSET invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from Media & Advertising Agencies and Creative Teams to collaborate with NSET through PEER for the following activities:

1. Produce Digital form of MFR training

NSET/PEER is planning to capture the skills procedure for review of MFR skills and knowledge by the instructors and graduates. While the MFR Course has a total of 22 lessons, the video shall only highlight the skills covered in the lessons. The comprehensive skills video duration is estimated to be around 2 hours and 30 minutes.

2. Produce Short Thematic Video films

NSET/PEER is planning to produce thematic videos of approximately 5-minute duration, capturing short clips/highlights of major skills in MFR. This video is intended for awareness raising/advocacy to various national and international stakeholders (e.g. policymakers, communities, media, schools, etc.)

3. Produce Conceptual MFR Video:

Summarized video capturing major MFR skills for public advocacy (duration 10 minutes)

Media & Advertising Agencies and Creative Teams that are interested to work on the above activities should submit sealed EOI documents to NSET Reception. The Guidelines for EOI is attached. The EOI should be accompanied by a Cost Proposal (CP) in separate envelope and organizational documents as suggested in the Guidelines.

DOWNLOAD Guidelines for Proposal

The documents shall be received no later than 1700hrs Nepal time, on May 15, 2019.
