Vacancy Announcement for Baliyo Ghar
National Society For earthquake Technology- Nepal (NSET), with funding support from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is implementing a 5-year “Baliyo Ghar” program to contribute to safer reconstruction in Nepal.
The objective of the program is to support disaster-resilient reconstruction of houses through standardized training, awareness, and demonstration. The program will develop standard guidelines, manuals, curricula and awareness materials for acceptance by Government of Nepal as national standard resources; and use them to train construction workforce and implement awareness campaigns, thereby enhancing national capability towards disaster resilient reconstruction.
National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) invites applications for the following positions from eligible candidates for implementation of ‘Baliyo Ghar’ Program in the VDCs of Dolakha, Nuwakot and Dhading Districts of Nepal and for NSET headquarter operation:
1. Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Expert
No. of Positions: One
Qualification: Masters’ Degree in Social Science or Development Studies or equivalent
Experience: More than 5 years’ experience as M&E Specialist at a senior level working on Disaster Risk Management or Other Development Projects
Location: Kathmandu Valley (with frequent travel to Dolakha, Nuwakot and Dhading Districts)
2. Position: Technical Officer - Engineer
No. of Positions: Eighteen
Qualification: Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience: Fresh Graduates.
Location: Program VDCs: Bhimeshwor, Laduk and Malu in Dolakha District, Chaturale, Thansing, Mahakali, Chhap, Samudradevi, Thanapati, Likhu and Talakhu in Nuwakot District; and Nilakantha, Khalte, Semjong, Nalang, Marpak, Sertung in Dhading
3. Position: Social Mobilizer
No. of Positions: Four
Qualification: Bachelors’ Degree in Humanities/Education
Experience: 1 year in similar position
Location: Program VDCs in Dolakha, Nuwakot and Dhading
4. Position: Admin Assistant
No. of Positions: Three
Qualification: Bachelors’ Degree in Business Studies
Experience: min. 1 year in similar position
Location: One position for District Headquarter and Two positions for selected VDCs of Dolakha, Nuwakot and Dhading districts.
