Godawari Municipality in Far West Nepal conducts First Mason Training
A Mason Training on Earthquake Resistant Building Construction started at Godawari Municipality of Kailali District from 23 April, 2018. Total 25 participants representing different wards of the Municipality are joining the training. This is the 7-day Urban Mason Training that aims to impart safer construction ideas, techniques and skills to practicing masons.
Mr. Karna Singh Bohora, Chairperson of Ward Number 5 of the Municipality formally inaugurated the training program. Speaking at the inauguration program, Mr. Bohara urged all the participants to actively participate in the learning process.
NSET Engineers Mr. Shova Ram Bhattarai and Mr. Sagar Acharya are facilitating the course.
This Mason Training is being organized by Godawari Municipality with the technical support from National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) under USAID/OFDA supported "Technical Support for Building Code Implementation in Nepal (TSBCIN)" program.
This is the first Mason Training conducted in the Municipality.
