NSET and Nepal Mediciti sign MoU for joint works and cooperation
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) and Nepal Mediciti (NMC) Hospital at NSET Office on April 2, 2018. Mr. Surya Narayan Shrestha, Executive Director of NSET and Mr. Bijaya Rimal, General Manager of Nepal Mediciti Hospital signed the agreement for joint works and cooperation towards reducing disaster risk, increasing earthquake safety and enhance emergency medical preparedness.
According to the agreement, NMC shall permit to exhibit standee of earthquake awareness and preparedness materials in its waiting and public notice areas. Similarly, NSET will support NMC for preparing and testing emergency response plan and making earthquake safe environment. Likewise, the NMC will provide best services with reasonable price to NSET staff at the hospital after signing the agreement among others.
Addressing the signing ceremony, NSET Executive Director Mr. Shrestha expressed happiness over the agreement saying that both the organizations have similarities in various ways and future cooperation between two organizations will be guided by the spirits to help our communities. Mr. Shrestha remarked, “Disaster Reduction activities require a lot of efforts and investment. This should not be the matter of Charity rather needs to turn into business opportunity providing quality services to help build community resilience.
On the occasion, General Manager of Nepal Mediciti Mr. Rimal expressed happiness to join hands with NSET and put forward commitments of NMC to work together for enhancing community resilience. Mr. Rimal appreciated NSET for providing the technical assistance during the construction of hospital building and also wished to work further to ensure better safety environment within Hospital.
