BaliyoGhar: Anniversary of Earthquake marked with Mason Training
On commemorating a year anniversary of Gorkha Earthquake, mason training has been started at Marpak, Dhading. As part of NSET's BaliyoGhar program funded by USAID, 7 days Mason Training started from 24th April 2016. This is first mason training at Marpak under BaliyoGhar Program in cooperation with Department of Urban Development and Building Construction Division Office Dhading (DUDBC) and Marpak V.D.C. Marpak is first VDC in Dhading where enrolment for providing governmental grant is completed. 599 among 1003 house-owners have been enrolled.
Dhan Bahadur Ghale member of Constitution assembly and Dilip Bhandari, Division Chief, DUDBC Dhading jointly inaugurated the program, where fifty more people were present consisting representatives of political parties, V.D.C. secretary, President of Red Cross, Secretary of District NGO Federation, journalists, 28 mason trainees and local people.
Addressing to the mason trainees, Division Chief of DUDBC, Dhading urged masons to take the training seriously and try to implement as much as possible so that they can be salable everywhere in building stone and mud houses. He also appreciated overall work performed by NSET BaliyoGhar in the areas of reconstruction and highlighted the efforts and contributions that NSET have been making for resilient reconstruction.
Member of Constitution Assembly Dhan Bahadur Ghale said, ' Baisakh 12 must not be treated as a black day for Nepal but perhaps we must celebrate this day by founding laying stone in 10 houses here in Marpak V.D.C. Dhading to turn this day as white. This training would be very instrumental for reconstruction and new construction as well.'
V.D.C secretary Rupak Adhikari opined that we must be optimistic in each and every aspects of our life so that it might lead us to boon in our near future where he synchronized that after the phase of reconstruction Nepal can be a prosperous nation in the world.
