Nepalese Army increases its trained emergency responders
The Nepalese Army, Sundarijal recently added 24 trained personnel in Medical First Response (MFR) End Users Course, through the Program for Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER) Stage 4 (2014-2019). PEER is funded by USAID/OFDA and implemented by National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET).
NSET, in partnership with the Nepalese Army, organized the MFR End Users Course from April 8-14, 2016, at No 1 Disaster Management Battalion of Nepalese Army, Sundarijal. The course was intended for the emergency responders of the Nepalese Army.
There were a total of 11 instructors for this program. The instructor’s team consisted of representatives from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepalese Army, Nepal Red Cross Society and NSET itself. The Nepalese Army have been using the recent MFR and CSSR graduates as resource persons in their in-house training and creating their own in house graduates.
