Preparatory Meeting held at Shankarapur Municipality for Urban Regeneration Workshop
A Preparatory Meeting for Urban Regeneration Workshop held at Shankarapur Municipality Office, Sankhu on September 7, 2015. The meeting was held with a purpose to explore the recent problems of Sankhu city, its damage scenario, and haphazard illegal and unsafe construction practices and how to move ahead towards making safer city. Under USAID/OFDA funded program 3PERM, NSET is providing technical assistance to Sankhu Reconstruction Committee technically for the safe and sound regeneration of Sankhu city. The participants were representatives from Shankarapur Municipality and people representing different political parties and private sectors.
Total of 17 (15 male and 1 female) participants were present in the meeting and were giving their valuable overview, feedbacks and suggestions over the concept and implementation of Urban Regeneration at Sankhu. The meeting has agreed to organize a multi stakeholders workshop to discuss the issue more comprehensively and find the ways to move forward.
