DRR & CCA Training to the School Teachers and Students


District Level training to the students and teachers from five schools of the prioritized resource centers of Dhanusa has successfully completed in Dhanusa District under the leadership of District Education Office Dhanusa, support from UNICEF and Technical support from National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET). The residential training to the 30 students and teachers was conducted in Janakpur Muncipality from 1st to 7th January 2015. The program was successful in enhancing the capacity of the teachers and students in Emergency Preparedness and Response, Vulnerability Capacity Assessment, Light Search and Rescue, First Aid and Climate Change Adaption. Schools from Nakhtajhij, Nagrain, Khajuri, Bengadaabar and Janakpur Resource Centers have participated in the training.

Teachers and students participating in the program committed of delivering the learning's from the training to their schools and community. Program envisions the active role of these teachers and students in these schools for building the culture of safety.

All participants from my school will make every effort possible for preparing our school during emergencies. However, the involvement of all the school members will stand as a challenge while delivering the learning's from training and forming different group for emergency response."
