Masons Training on Earthquake Resistant Construction of Buildings
Masons Training on Earthquake Resistant Construction of Buildings has started at Bharatpur Municipality from yesterday i.e. 22nd of December, 2014. This training program will run for five days till 26th of December. There are 25 participants working on different wards of Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City. This program is jointly organised by Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City and National Society of Earthquake Technology Nepal. This is 6th mason training jointly organized by two organizations. Already 150 masons were trained on 5 editions of mason training before. Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City already started licensing process of contractors working inside the city and planning to enforce strict rules on construction of buildings from next fiscal year. From next fiscal year certified contractors from municipality and contractors taking mason training on earthquake resistant construction of buildings only can build houses inside the city area.
