Course Announcement for Engineers Training on Retrofit Design of Masonry Buildings

National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) calls for application from Structural / Civil Engineers and Professional Designers to participate in Engineers Training on Retrofit Design of Masonry Buildings. The main objective of this training program is to enhance the participant’s expertise on earthquake effects on masonry building structures focusing on the structural analysis and retrofit design. The training will be organized under USAID supported Baliyo Ghar Program being implemented by National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) in order to support the Government of Nepal’s model of owner-driven housing reconstruction by providing technical assistance.

Interested candidates can go through the Course Announcement document below and apply for the training filling an online form no later than 30 June 2018, 5:30 PM. The link for online submission is attached along with the Course Announcement document.

Application from interested candidates will be accepted from open application basis. Total 56 participants will be selected to participate in two consecutive trainings (26 participants in each), to be conducted in July and August. Participant selection will be done based on information provided by applicants and set of predefined criteria as per prepared by the organization. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed regarding their selection for the training within 10 July 2018.
