National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET), with funding support from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is implementing a 5-years of Baliyo Ghar Program to contribute to safer reconstruction in Nepal. The objective of program is to ensure disaster-resilient construction of houses through awareness, training, demonstration and support on code compliance. The program aims to expand the technical knowledge and expertise gathered during the program implementation for achieving the broader goal of disaster resilient housing construction in Nepal.

NSET seeks application for the following position from eligible candidates:

Position: Administration Assistant
No. of Positions: One
Appointment Type: Full Time for 1 year with possibility of extension
Required Qualification: Bachelors’ Degree in Business Studies
Experience: 1 year in similar position
Location: Dolakha District
Language: Nepali and English in speaking, reading and writing are required.
Program: Baliyo Ghar (funded by USAID/Nepal)

Skills and Abilities:

• Familiar with various computer software packages, including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel
• Excellent documentation and management skill.
• Accounting
• Driving License of Motorbike is preferable
• Ability to work under pressure
• Quick learning ability

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform multilayered general office support activities to carry out day to day administrative functions of Baliyo Ghar Program
• Assist with all aspects of administrative management, directory maintenance, logistics, equipment inventory and storage
• Maintain proper and up to date store inventory
• Assist during various training programs, workshops and seminars; check and ensure all equipment such as multi-media projector, computers, etc. are in working condition during the programs
• Make necessary errands for official business, deliver/collect official letters/documents, etc, whenever necessary
• Visit banks for deposits and withdrawals
• Prepare invoices and collect payment in timely manner
• Draft and type official letters in Nepali and English as and when needed
• Coordinate with teams and operating units in resolving day-to-day administrative and operational issues
• Manage files and documents
• Operate a range of office machines such as photocopiers and computers
• Perform other financial management tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
