Mason training
NSET provided technical assistance for conducting three days mason training program organized by the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), Kavrepalancho-wk Division and Sakha Toresteel, Sakha Steel Industries at Dhulikhel, Kavre, from 3 – 5 June 2007.
Itahari - 2-6 June 2007
National Society for Earthquake Technology–Nepal (NSET) on request from Itahari Municipality provided technical support to conduct five days masons training program at Itahari from 2-6 June 2007. Two of the engineers from NSET conducted the masons training program. There were altogether 35 participants, mostly local contractors from Itahari Municipality. The training was conducted as per the standard curricula designed by NSET. The curricula have optimum theoretical sessions and practical skill for upgrading the practicing masons in earthquake resistant construction technology. All the sessions were conducted in a participatory manner with the presentations and followed by the interaction of the participants and all the participants actively participated in entire duration of the training program.
