NSET has been cooperating with two FM stations, namely, Radio Sagarmatha in Kathmandu and Radio Annapurna in Pokhara, for weekly programming on earthquake safety on radio. The weekly talk and discussion programs aim at enhancing earthquake awareness and influencing public policy on disaster management by creating public demand. The programs also inform people on Do’s and Don’ts before, during and after an earthquake.

The main message conveyed by the programs each week is:

In addition to this NSET has recently signed an agreement with Capital FM 92.4 for yet another radio program on earthquake safety to be aired from January 1 2008. The program is named “Bhukampa Gatha” and it will be aired from Malikarjun FM Pvt. Ltd (Capital FM 92.4 Mhz) every day as a five minute program in order to have general people to better understand the earthquake risk and be aware and prepared for safety measures.
