LET’S HELP OUR COMMUNITIES TO BE PREPARED !!!

 

It is a Collection of Different Items of Light Search and Rescue Collected and Stored in One Place (a Room or Metallic Container) in Pre Disaster Phase and Kept in Disaster Safe Location.

PURPOSE

The purpose of PPERS is to provide a reserve of essential tools and equipment to assist in the immediate response to a major disaster, such as an earthquake, in the Kathmandu Valley. PPERS is intended to help those ‘first responders’ on the ground at the local level to enable neighbour to rescue neighbour.

WHY PPERS?

To enhance the capability of communities for quickest emergency response by mobilising local capacities to full effect
• family helping family
• neighbour helping neighbour
• street helping street
• community helping community.
