Logo

According to Nepalese mythology, our beloved mother earth is delicately balanced on the snouts of four elephants which are riding the eternal flow of time on the back of a turtle. Any unnatural movement could disturb the balance temporarily, causing the earth to tremble. We retained the elephants and the turtle in our logo as we are proud of our Nepalese heritage and we wanted to distinguish the Nepalese identity of our organisation. Furthermore, it is also a reflection of our emphasis on local initiatives and solutions in earthquake risk reduction, in the broader context of global cooperation.
