Second regional workshop on International Framework for Development of Disaster Reduction Technology List on Implementation Strategies "Disaster Reduction Hyper base" Core Member Meeting (CMM) II (For Asia-Pacific Region) was held in 14-15 November 2005 at Hotel Hyatt , Bouddha, Kathmandu, Nepal organized by NIED, MEXT ,ISDR and NSET secretariat to exchange criteria, refine the methodology and build the network.

Purpose of the Project:

The goal of this initiative was to establish a mechanism through multilateral collaboration and exchange in order to gather and analyze information on technologies and effective practices worldwide, and to build a platform or network with institutions in all regions connected (research and science oriented as well as practice oriented, with national nodes). The ultimate goal was to facilitate the dissemination of this information, jointly with UN/ISDR, through a web-based database or portfolio on disaster reduction technologies and tools on implementation strategies.
