NSET was the organizer of the Fourth General Assembly of Asian Seismological Commission (ASC 2002), 24 - 26 November 2002. In conjunction, a 3-day Symposium on Seismology, Earthquake Hazard Assessment and Risk Management, and a 2-week pre-symposium training course on Earthquake Vulnerability Reduction for Cities were held.
