A 3days workshop on Disaster Risk Management Master Plan in coordination with 3CD programme was held in Kathmandu from the 4th to the 6th of July 2006.The program was organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), Pacific Disaster Centre (PDC), and NSET in co-ordination with 3CD Programme EMI. The first day of the program was the Stakeholders Workshop on Disaster Risk Management Plan. The second day was the Seminar on Options for Building Code Implementation and Enforcement and the third day was for the Ward Level Emergency Response/ Preparedness Planning Session. The fundamental goal of the whole event was to build partnerships and advance the local agenda for development and implementation of a comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Master Plan ( DRMMP) for the city. At the same time, additional objective was to promote the Mega city Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Base (MDRMKB).
