NSET, is now an institution that is widely
considered as an authority in earthquake risk management in Nepal, an institution
that can successfully implement mitigation measures and deliver the results.
At the national level, recognizing that genuine and long term improvement
can only take place with the involvement of the local communities, we now
seek to be a facilitator of change, to pass on our knowledge and expertise
to the communities and institutions, thus empowering them to build their
own earthquake safe communities. In addition we seek to enhance international
relationship with similar institutions worldwide. We are constantly meeting
new challenges and taking on new roles and responsibilities.
